During thermal farm assessments we place one probe at the intake grille and one at the primary exhaust point. The delta across a full duty cycle — not just the first hour — tells us how much heat the aisle must absorb.

Aisle width multipliers

Narrow aisles below 1.2 meters amplify bleed. We apply a simple correction: if aisle width is tight, we downgrade middle-density scores even when delta looks acceptable on the bench.

Firmware idle states

Some firmware drops fan speed aggressively at idle, causing rapid delta spikes when load returns. We note these patterns because hosted farms cycle load during maintenance windows.
